About Whenext

Your one place for upcoming events in tech, gaming, entertainment and politics.

Our Mission

Whenext was built to solve a simple problem: keeping track of all the exciting events coming up in technology, gaming, entertainment and politics. With so many product launches, game releases, premieres and polling days, it is easy to lose the overview.

We aggregate information from trusted sources, verify dates, and present everything in a clean, real-time countdown format. Our confidence scoring system helps you understand how reliable each date is, so you can plan accordingly.

Whenext is an experiment

Whenext is a side project and an open experiment. We want to learn how far AI can take us in building software. An AI agent finds the events, writes the texts and translates them; much of the code is written the same way.

That has consequences, and you should see them. Some things change fast, some stay unfinished, and mistakes show up where we trusted a machine too quickly. We check this site by sampling, not sentence by sentence. If you spot an error, tell us — that is what the experiment is for.

How It Works

We Research

An AI agent scans official announcements, industry publications and organiser sites for new dates every day.

We Verify

Each event gets a confidence score based on its source. Official dates score high, estimated ones low.

You Track

Browse real-time countdowns, filter by category, and never miss an important event again.

Data Sources & Transparency

We believe in transparency. Every event on Whenext includes a source link so you can verify the information yourself. Our data comes from:

Official Announcements

Direct press releases and company statements

Industry Publications

Trusted tech, gaming and entertainment outlets, plus official election authorities

Organisers and Platforms

Trade fair sites like IFA or GDC, plus Steam and Liquipedia

Historical Patterns

For recurring events we estimate the date — at low confidence

Every text here is AI-generated

We'll say it straight: an AI writes the texts on Whenext.

  • That covers event descriptions, notes and every translation.
  • A human reads them and approves them before they land here.
  • The dates themselves always come from a real source. We link it on every event.
  • When an event has no press image, an AI draws an abstract cover. The line under the image says it was generated.

Even so, a mistake can slip through. Spotted one? Please tell us.
